Cafe Morso, Pyrmont

Pokemon Go! Everyone is on it nowadays, including meee!! So my friends and I decided to talk a walk from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour to Catch'em all Right ;P
We made a stop at Cafe Morso since the sister has been blabbing about how good the foods are and Im curious too..

The place is situated far from the crowd and offers a harbour view dining. It was packed on Sunday morning and but we still managed to get a table.

Beware though, they changed the menu for lunch so I recommend to come in for breakfast to try out their Risotto~
Smoked Pork, Spinach, Gruyere Risotto, Poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. I am usualyl not a fan of Risotto but this one was OMG so gooodd! The rice was cooked perfectly not too mushy, the pork has that good balance of smokiness and the oozing egg yolk is just perfecttt mamamiaaaaaa ;P

PS: please dont share this one. You gotta eat em all by yourselffffff

$19
Another example of simple breakfast done right! Sauteed wild Mushroom with Truffled scrambled eggs, Crusty Sonoma Bread. Fluffly egg and fragrant mushrooms can made my dayy ever

$18
Foods are on point to what my sister has been braggin about, it just a let down a bit on the service. It was kinda hard to get the waitress attention and the place wasn't that busy as well when we were in the middle of dine in.

Culture Bean Cafe, Kogarah

Last Christmas I left my heart in Culture Bean Cafe...
Been seeing this lovely photos of their Acai Bowl made me gather up my foodie troops to invade this sweet little spot in Kogarah.

This blog is a late post from Dec 2015 which is the reason why the cafe is amazingly decorated with Christmas ornaments and filled with Christmas inspired Cronuts and Sweets :)

Culture Bean Cafe is a local cafe serving traditional breakkie from eggs benedict and big breakfast and breakfast burger with Acai Bowl being the Star of the place. They don't have much variety up on the menu but that means they are perfecting each and every dishes they got there rather than having piles of things on the menu :)

We start off with Breakkie Bruschetta which comes with Asparagus, Field Mushrooms, Grilled Haloumi, roast Tomato and Avocado on sourdough

Breakkie Bruschetta $12.50
Then the Culture Burger came with Kafta, Haloumi, tomato, rocket and char Capsicum on a brioche bun. The kafta is beautifully cooked and the sauce on the burger is delish!

Culture Burger $13.50
Culture Breakkie is next which is culture beans interpretation of Big Breakkie :) It got everything from bacon, mushrooms, poached eggs, haloumi, chipolata and sourdough. Ooh, they used beef bacon here, which is the first I saw in sydney - beef bacon ;P tastedd sooo good. We have heaps of beef bacon back in Indo cause majority of the people there don't eat pork ;P

Culture Breakkie $16.50
Our favorite apart from the Acai Bowl is the Egg Bean Benedict. Placed on the top of the menu, this dish does not fail to satisfy us! Simple elements done right creating a perfect benedict with salmon and hollandaise sauce :)
Egg bean benedict $14.50
One word. Love. Love is Acai Bowl from Culture Bean Cafe. Hands down the best I've ever tasted. The dish came along with the rest of the other dishes but we left it last for dessert. It is still so icy and refreshingly good! The blended Acai berries is topped with Spelt Maple Muesli, coconut shavings, Berries and bananas and topped with black Chia seeds.

Couldn't get healthier and yummier than that!
Highly Highly Recommended! I might ask bebski to go there tommorow ;P

Acai Bowl $15
Recommendation from me is their Benedict and Acai Bowl!
Super friendly staffs and you order at the counter and pay there :)

Foodcraft Espresso & bakery, Erskineville

Foodcraft Espresso is on the Hype now for their Tella Shake and their Instagram has hit 10.6k follower! So I'm very keen to try out whats the ruckus is all about.. So I went there with some of my friends last Sunday. Decided to come super early to skip the queue, Arrived at the place at 9:30AM and we gotta wait for around 30mins before we were seated.

We got the outdoor seat and luckily it was a bright sunny day last week, so we don't mind sitting out. While we wait for the foods, I went inside the place and look around the interior. They have an open kitchen at the end of the walkway and on the right is the display of their World Famous Tella ball lining up waiting to be eaten ;P

We wanted to try the Vanilla and the Salted Caramel, but they said they have run out at 10AM~~! Unbelievable how famous their shakes are. So we got the Strawberry with Jam Donuts on top and The Famous Tella Shake with Tella ball.

$10 a mug
The verdict for the shake? Hmm.. hard to say, the donuts are dense to me and very generous in size but I think for a person to finish the whole thing is just massive and too overly sweet! The shake itself is pretty ordinary. As we eat, the queue starts to build up and I heard some people behind me was saying that they rather make the milkshake at home and just get the donuts from there. But the other was saying "at least you gotta try it once in your life" haha!

Ms.H got the Baked Egg and served with Sourdough.

Italian Baked Egg $18
The guys got the Big Breakkie - Bacon, Egg, Italian Sausage, Grilled Tomato, Haloumi, Hash Brown, Mushrooms and Soourdough. The portion is oh my god so big! Even bebski got a hard time finishing it..

Big Breakkie $20

Ms.L got the Haloumi stack with hash brown, Poached egg, Baby Spinach, Avocado and Balsamic glazed tomato.

Haloumi stack $16
I got the Eggs benedict with Tasmanian Salmon on Brioche. I add some Italian sausage too. I read some reviews saying that their food are pretty mediocre compare to other brunch places and last week, I've experienced it myself. it's the first time I didn't finished a meal in a brunch place. The eggs were poached perfectly, the salmon and hollandaise sauce are quite salty and the brioche was neither soft nor fresh.

Eggs benedict $16
I wanted to wait til 11AM to order their steak sandwich at first but getting such foods from their breakfast menu made me think twice to order the lunch menu ;P It may be just my opinion regarding the foods but yeah, besides trying the Tella Shake, I don't think I would be coming back there.

When we left the place, the queue has become sooo massive! They even have their own queue for paying ;P

Rustic PearL, Surry Hills

Despite of my extremely busy week, I would have spare a day just for brunch! :) Last week, My brunch group Mr.P, Ms.L, Mr.M and Bebski planned to try out Le Monde. But unfortunately it was close and we changed our destination to Devon. But again, it was 40mins wait and apparently their menu is still the same like last time when I visited. So we go try our luck in Rustic Pearl.

Mr.P decided to walk there first while we wait for Mr.M to come meet us in Devon before we leave together to rustic pearl. When he came, we decided to grab Uber cause we were too hungry to walk! Arrived there, Mr.P told us that there is a queue and we have to wait. We didn't get any estimated waiting time, so we just stand in front of the place, drooling over the foods brought to table in front of us ~~

40 mins of waiting, finally we got seated! and without further ado, we ordered foods and drinks! I got myself the Avocado Smoothie with Pistachio which was superbly rich, creamy and smooth :)

Avocado Smoothie $6
Mr.M got the Smoked Wagyu Omelette with Bufallo Mozarella, spinach, skordalia, tomato relish & Toast
$18
I got the Kipfler Potato Omelette with mushrooms, corn salsa, asparagus, goat's cheese, watercress and pomegranate molasses. It may look light and simple but it's actually really filling! Generous amount of pan fried sliced potatoes hidden inside the fluffy eggs and wrapped around the creamy goat's cheese. It's just such a good combo!

$18
Mr.P got the Royale - Two poached eggs with Petuna Premium Ocean Trout, wilted baby spinach, homemade Hollandaise sauce and relish

$22.50

We got the Lamb Gozleme to share. It is definitely a must order in Rustic Pearl. Almost every table got one. Generous with the lamb and the spices they used in the  filling are just mouthwatering-ly delish. I seriously can finish the whole lot by myself!
$19
And here come the Champ of the day! Bosphorus Benedict. Two poached egg on toast with Bay Lobster, avocado, homemade Hollandaise, fresh coriander & Chilli. I literally can't describe this dish much besides the fresh and perfectly cooked lobster and the oozing egg porn!! Bebski should be thanking me for ordering him this ;p

$25
Overall, the foods were great. It may take very long for them to cook the dish too cause as written in their menu, they make everything from scratch and fresh. Greatness does takes time ;)
One important advice from me! Come earlyyyyy.. otherwise u gotta waitt soooo longgg . Even though the foods are gonna be worth it but the coldness windy winter is just too annoying >.< and the place is not too big like any other cafes.

Orto Trading Co, Surry Hills

Went to Orto trading 2 weeks ago with my brunch team Mr.P and ms.L.. We waited for a good 20mins to be seated but looking at all the foods that came out from that magical kitchen assure us that it would be so worth it.

I knw coming to a popular brunch spot on a Sunday at ard noon is totally a queue suicide, but we got no choice as we only have free time on Sunday and that's the only day we are supposed to sleep in ;P

The interior of the cafe is bright and a bit crowded with tables. The front coffee area is full of hanging glass decorations. The kitchen located at the back of the cafe and is partly open so we can see the busy chef cooking all of the orders. I noticed there are a lot of people working in the cafe and everyone were very friendly and helpful.

I must say, the wait on the foods was pretty long.. We had to wait for at least 35mins before the they arrived. Luckily we haven't seen each other for quite a while so we had a lot to talk about and plus I just got that Good Food Guide book from Mr.P which can nicely shut me up for a good amount of time while sipping my chai :)

And finally, when we the food came, it didn't only look appetizing but they tasted amazing as well! There were three of us but we ordered an extra dish just cause ;P

Let me introduced the best dish of the day for me! It is Orto's Southern Fried Chicken Beni.  The Fluffy english muffins underneath the perfectly crispy fried chicken and also the creamy hollandaise with perfectly poached egg is just the best combo one can ever tasted :) I usually not a fan of muffin, but this one is an exception! All of the wait becomes worthed once I put this heavenly food in my mouth, like literally ~~!!

Southern Fried Chicken Beni $18
Second dish that we tasted is the Scotch egg with Salt cod and Picalilli. I can't believe Ms.L never tasted scotch egg before and this dish is the first time she ever tasted this. This dish is not too big and I think it's best ordered for a shared dish.

Scotch Egg $12
In almost every table in the cafe, there will always be the chicken beni and this Hash 2.0 !! This colourful dish consist of Birkshire Ham, cherry tomatoes, avocado puree, rocket, asparagus and poached egg. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of rocket butttt I keep diggin into this plate! The mini fried hash is just delightful :) The many texture of the components made you want to keep munching them.

Hash 2.0 $16
Lastly, we move one to Orto's Muesli. Sheep yoghurt, Organic Honeycomb and Seasonal fruits. I love love loveeeee this one! It's a good dish to end our brunch, its not as sweet but it's really filling after all those savoury meals :) And it always good to end things with sweet stuff ;P

Orto's Muesli $12

That pretty much covers up our great time in Orto Trading. Its been awhile since we have to wait that long to be seated and wait for the foods, but all I can say, we went out with a happy face and full tummy, so we couldn't ask for a better experience. Even when we walked out of the place, there were still queue outside. that's how good this place is!!
