Concrete Jungle, Central Park

A newly opened cafe that worth visiting especially for the outstandingly scrumptious hotcakes!
Yes it may looked like Harry's and rumor has it, the chef from Harry's owned the place :)

Went with two other friends on a weekday and boy the place was swarming with customers and almost in every table they order the blue magik bowl! I'm really keen to try and of course take some photos for my instagram feed ;P

The only savory dish that I got is the House Smoked Salmon with slow cooked egg, avocado puree, crisp[y potato, pear and greens. All kind of texture in a plate from crunch, chewy, salty and creamy. Delish!!

So Blue Magik made of blue algae powder blended with bananas, blueberries, blackberries and topped with coconut flakes and crunchy buckwheat in it and I especially loves the crunch from it and I think it brings the dish to another level and made it different to the other smoothie bowl.

The Blueberry and Lemon Hotcakes is one of the popular dish here. Fluffy and crisp edges are indications of perfect hotcakes!  The toppings and Blueberry ricotta cream just complement the hotcakes perfectly well. Plus it looks so damn pretty and it is almost effortless to take a good shot of it.

Would definitely be back to try the other dishes. Service are superb as well!

La Floraison, Regent Place

Recently opened pretty and bright dessert place in the lower ground of Regent Place in Sydney City. When you enter the place, it's like u're entering a magical garden full of flowers and pretty little stuff decorating the ceilings and the surrounding dining area.

I went here with my Uni friends on our last day of the semester and I kept on getting this post in my insta feed about 3D coffee printing and very keen to do one of my pic! Unfortunately when I got there, they said something was with the machine and they can't do new customize photo, so I get to pick some pre-uploaded photos in their system. Which I don't mind at all, getting both cute Stitch and Pikachu on mine :)

To be honest, this place is just looks good. And it's the end of it. The coffee takes forever to make, which is okay if the taste is worthed, but, for me it really tasted powdery like they've used powdered ones.

On top of that, there is nothing special about the dessert. Well the Taro Crepes is good, I can give them that. The rest, the Red Velvet cake is alright, the Macaron barely got any flavors besides sugar, the Agar tasted like water and the worst is the Unicorn Cupcake. Yes do are damn cute and pretty but it is literally vanilla sponge decorated cupcake and it cost $17 (comnbo with any hot drink), seriously? $11 for a cupcake? That's too much I think >.<

Will I come back? Sorry to say but probably not #isayitlikeitis

Cuppa flower, Waterloo

I currently live in Mascot and below the apartment there is this cute lil' cafe selling coffee and flowers. I always wonder what kind of foods they serve and unfortunately they just some pastries and smoothie bowl.

I've seen some post about another cafe with the same name but different location. I looked into it and apparently they are owned by the same owner but this one in Waterloo has all sort of dishes offered in the menu.

So I went to give it a go after seeing so many pretty pictures from the place and especially those cute Totoro black sesame and green tea sponges.

We got the Cuppa Flower Special Rice Noodle and we got the choice of pork or beef. I chose beef. For $16.50 you got a decent portion for 1. Asian inspired taste, al dente noodle and flavoursome broth! I highly recommend everyone to try them!

For the dessert, I really want to try their Taro mille crepe, but that time they only have the Earl Grey Crepes which in my opinion tasted more black sesame than Earl Grey. Also for the Matcha Swiss roll which I love, fluffy and a profound matcha note and Black sesame sponge which has a good texture but unfortunately the black sesame note has gone baked away -.-"

Apparently my foodie friend agreed with me and he also said that the sponges tasted like nothing but the swiss roll, with the help of the cream helps with the flavs :)

I would recommend this place a visit. I would like to come back and try their savory dish cause their linguine Al Funghi seems divine!!

Q on Harris, Ultimo

The Dessert that has shaken Instagram lately is this tremendously indulgent Green Tea Cheesecake from Q on Harris in Ultimo.

It is not too overly sweet and the green tea flavour is very profound! I usually can't finish a dessert by myself but I can literally eat the whole thing alone.

I highly recommend it if you visited the place.

Q on Harris is a very cozy little space in Ultimo offering fresh and vibrant breakfast and lunch menu. The owner is actually my childhood's friend brother and he is a very friendly and awesome dude :)

$10

The Smoked Salmon Tartine is another must try dish! Dill cream, greens, fennel, pine nuts, green apple, spanish onion, cucumber.
$17

My favourite here is the Mushroom Tartine! Mixed mushrooms cooked with fragrant herbs and creamy butter, confit garlic, spinach, sage crisp, parmesan cheese and topped on SD with poached egg. What a perfect dish for brunch and allow enough space in your stomach pouch for that green tea dessert :)

$17

Those three dishes are just perfect that it won me on my first visit! I had came back twice for the Green tea cheesecake and will keeps on coming for it :) I heard the Kabuki Waffle is pretty damn good too.

Circa Espresso, Paramatta

Visited Circa recently with Mr.P since I always wanted to try the place out. My friend work there and it's a good time to visit her too ;p

I would recommend if you want to visit the place, come on weekdays on super early on the weekends. I had to wait 30mins for a table but I tell ya, the foods were super crazily delicious for me and Mr.P :)

So I started my morning with Iced Mocha. their coffee got more acidity then the other I've tried. It's not offensive for me but may be quite strong for some people :)

Their special menu is the Ottoman Egg, but unfortunately I'm kinda allergic to eggplant so unlucky for me, I couldn't taste it. But I noticed almost every table got that dish. Sorry P haha!

So instead we went to the Pork belly option with Sweet and Sour pineapple dressing, slaw and crushed nuts. Plus we add eggs on the dish!

Oh em Ji, the Pork belly was really tender and juicy, crisp skin and the tangy salad provides the crunch and freshness to the meat! Definitely a match made in heaven (exaggeration aside). You should definitely try this out!!

$17
And thanks for my friend who work there, Ms.D, she recommended the French Toast, which at first, not on our order list! Probably the best french toast I've had so far. Much better than Flowerchild!

With brulee banana, fresh berries, mascarpone, cinnamon, caramelised passionfruit and crushed pistachio on Brickfields Brioche.

Super duper fluffy Brioche, perfectly caramelised and the other component complement the toast very well. Especially those passionfruit caramel sauce. Definitely something different than the rest.

$18
I understand how this place can be so packed even before they close their kitchen according to my friend who work there. They have simple ingredients in each dish but they do it perfectly! Ooh I'm still dreaming of that french toast! Droooollls!

5th Earl, Rosebery

I feel lucky to have live in Mascot area for awhile now. The suburb and surroundings starting to develop a number of great food spots to try! We visited 5th Earl in Rosebery last year and must I say, they are very generous in the portion!!

Our favorite dish of the day is the Pan Seared Salmon with Black Rice salad. The taste and texture combination was just perfect! Highly recommended.

We also ordered the Crab Omelette. At first we were hesistant to order it cause it's basically fried egg. But so happy that we did! Generous crab meat and that fluffy eggs with the crunch of the sweet corn on SD, just so scrumptious!

Another super yummy dish is the Grilled Beef Salad. Simple salad with the right component for beef; capsicum, mushroom and haloumi. That's all it takes to capture my heart! The beef was packed of flavor and the dressing complement the salad very well (housemade chilli dressing).

The probably only let down for me is the French toast ;P It wasn't bad but there wasn't any wow factor on it. The french toast could be fluffier. But the combo with bacon and strawberries were great :P

People from other tables were starring at us (My sis, My future sis-in-law and me) since we looked as if we can't eat alot and we ordered that much food with their giant portion and we managed to finish every single thing on the plates haha!

Highly recommend place to visit! There may be queue, but definitely worth it :)

Salmon & Bear (Zetland) -- Salt, meat and Cheese (Alexandria) & Doux Amour

There was the days when me and my foodie friends would visited 3 food destinations in a day!

First we visited Salt, meat and Cheese in Alexandria. The foods were good but nothing great except for the Acai bowl placed in a Pineapple bowl :)

Then we went to Salmon and Bear to try our what their menu can offer. Very friendly staff. I still remembered her even from my visit last year..

If you like raw salmon, you would love their poke bowl ;) The fish and chips was alright. Taco was generous is their serving size and I love their sweet potato chips! ^^

And if you're in Rosebery Area, do visit Duox Amour. They made the cutest Choux! They are reasonable prices, very nice shop owner and now they got their pop up stall in QVB.. They have increase the flavour variants of the choux as well. So something to definitely look out for :)

Cuckoo Callay, Newtown

My second visit to Cuckoo Callay to try out their new menu ! :)
I loveeee Croissant and looking at my Instagram feed with this amazing Croissant filled with all the goodness lure me directly back to Newtown.

Went with a couple of foodies and here are what we chow down ^^
First is definitely the Bacon MacDaddy - I was expecting the croissant to be flaky and crisp but apparently probably because of the filling it wasn't as i expected. But the combination of elements work perfectly well. Bacon Mac n cheese, Bacon Jam, Double smoked bacon, and poached egg, whats not to like!!

$16
The Sideways shuffle - Its either you like it or not. It's a Blue Swimmer Crab cakes with corn and avocado salsa, watermelon, Poached egg, The other foodies loved it except me ;P

$24
We also got the RESPECT Burger. Unfortunately my photo doesn't do this delish burger any justice haha! Popcorn Chicken burger with Double smoked Bacon, Gruyere cheese and sauerkraut on Brioche ~~

$19
My fave dish of the day! Even though it didn't look as pretty as the other dishes and even though im not a fan of truffle. but this dish caught my hearttttt :)
No wonder it is called 'Magic Mushroom', its instantaneously made me happyy hihihi..
Wild mushrooms on Sourdough, truffled goat cream, spinach, roasted russ tomatoes, smoked almonds and a crumbed egg. Noms!

$23
A very simple yet scrumptious dessert to end the meal. Nothing can go wrong with Triple Chocolate gooey brownies with A dollop of cream and Vanilla ice cream with crumbed nuts and biscuit. I'd give this dish 11/10!! lovee love love.

$11
One of the picture-worthy dish Cuckoo is their Lost Cookie of Pompeii - Chocolate lava cookie, peanut butter mascarpone, banana, chocolate covered popping candy and creme anglaise. I was expecting alot from the dessert, but the lava cookie was quite a hassle to eat and i think the peanut butter mascarpone is too sweet to my liking ~~

$17
Overall I am impressed yet again by the foods here, no wonder the queue are out of this worldddd ;P As long as it worth it rightt tee hee.
