Jeans Chilli Chicken, Eastwood

Jeans Chilli Chicken, a Korean restaurant located inside Eastwood hotel. Make sure to bring your ID on the weekends ;p My friends and I travelled to Eastwood last week to dine here. It's been a long time since I visited the place. It is a really popular eating spot for Indonesians. Even the owner can speak some Indo words! Their popularity brought their franchise all the way to Jakarta!

To start with, we were given a complementary appetizer which was the creamy pasta salad with cucumber and carrot pieces.

The speciality/uniqueness of this place is the rice bowl to ball! With every Chilli chicken u got 1 rice bowl if I'm not mistaken. So what u do is u put some chicken in the bowl, cut up the chicken to really small pieces and using the glove provided, mashed everything up and shape the rice into a ball!

This is the famous Jeans Chilli Chicken! It was not really spicy for me but for some people it can be quite sweating! The only thing that I don't like from the chicken is that they still have the skin on! Im not a gooey chicken skin person, I'm more of a crispy-skin person haha!

 We also got the chicken and cheese, a less spicy version of the Chilli chicken with melted cheese on top!

My new favourite dish in here is the Chilli Pork! The pork belly was sliced thinly and fried and smothered in the chilli sauce, It was literally the highlight of the night for me ~~

The last dish to arrive is the Grilled Eel. I'm not a fan of eel , even the eel here didn't change my liking.. Bebski on the other lovvvvveees it! HE said it's probably one of the best eel dishes he had ever eaten in Sydney ;p

That's probably summed up our delicious meal in Jeans Chilli Chicken. Always lovee coming here to eat despite the time travel! The owner is really friendly and funny at the same time. he is really generous as well with free rice bowl and girls, if you ask, you could probably score some free melona ice cream :p

Tips: It can be quite pricey unless you dine in group!

Beschico, Epping

The hunt for Korean Fried Chicken starts when I heard some of my friends said that there are alot of Korean restaurant now in sydney that offers yummier chicken than Arisun's.. So I was curious and started looking up some new "hot spot" for korean fried chicken.. 

Apparently Beschico came up on my search and one saturday, we were thinking of getting the Multi Day Pass ticket to travel around sydney suburbs for culinary.. Epping was one of the suburb in our journey list ^^

When we first enter, it was pretty empty. We were there around 4PM, so its not really dinner time yet too late for lunch. The atmosphere inside the cafe is laid back, with some table with comfy sofas. Korean MV was playing in the TV. We were seated in a Diner-like Table (we need the proper table to feast ;P)

The popcorn was complimentary and you could ask for more if you like :) My brother persuade us to order Soju.. as we don't usually drink alcohol. But today was exception, as we are not driving, so why not ^^

Even though most Koreans eat Chicken by drinking beer , we make Soju Bombs instead.. The idea is pouring soju into the shot glass and filling a beer glass half full and just drop the shot bottle into it and voila - there goes your BOMBS :)

Verdicttt.... our favourite is the crispy fried ones over the gochujang ones.. It is perfectly fried with crunchy crust and moist meat inside.. Half is definitely not enough for the 4 of us.. But oh well, it was a day full of eating anyway so we're okay with that portion :) One more restaurant ticked from my wishlist ^^

In the Mood for Thai, Paramatta

Paramatta is not a suburb on my go-to list unless the reason of visit is to eat! I was on the hunt to try out Temasek for a long time now and we decided to visit the place a day after boxing day and foolish us, we didn't check weather they open or not and unfortunately they don't!

Bebski, Mr.P and I were starving and so we just entered any restaurant we can see nearby. Luckily, we found this thai place on the corner and they were swarmed with people having lunch and the smell of the stir fries and the burnt smoky wok lure us straight in.

We looked through the lunch menu and we made up or mind what to order.

For me going to Thai restaurant, it will always be either pad thai, pad see ew or anything with pork belly in it. Unfortunately they don't serve crispy pork belly here and so I got the Hokkien Noodle in Oyster sauce. The noodle still has its chewiness and the oyster sauce along with the sweet soy sauce covered the noodle nicely. The chicken was well marinated and not to mention the portion was humongous!

 Bebski and his Satay sauce stir fry! He got the chicken in satay sauce stir fry which also came with a pile of veggies! He was starving and basically got no choice so he gulp everything off the plate ...

 Mr.P got the green curry with chicken that also comes with steamed rice. I thought that the curry was prettu mild and that it needs more punchy curry note in it :)

The foods was alright, not bad for a quick lunchie... :) Bit disappointed though cause Temasek was closed but it's just gonna be another reason for me to visit Paramatta again ^^
