Celsius Coffee Co, Kirribilli

Celsius Coffee Co is on the "must visit" list currently in Sydney! Located just at the Kirribilli Wharf, reachable by ferry or just simply drive there.. The cafe offered amazing foods and also view! Too bad I didn't take pic of the interior of the cafe.. But if you ask for window seating, you'll see the beautiful sea next to you :)

Went here on a Sunday with the Hubby.. We waited for the window seat for a good 20mins.

As usual, I got my Chai latte.. Don't feel like coffee that time. But the hubby got his flat white :) Celsius Coffee Co is using O N A Coffee bean

I ordered the Burrata & Mushroom since I loveeeee anything with mushroom, especially if the portion of the mushroom is this muchhhhhhh .^^. I'm a happy girl ;P

On the plate, we got Shiitake, Oyster and White mushroom with local Burrata cheese and chimichurri sauce on SD! Perfect combo and crisp SD! Yummmsss

$19
The dish for the hubby, which I ordered too ;P is "The Benedict" - braised lamb, Japanese yuzu hollandaise, raw almond dukkah and poached egg on SD. That lamb was so tender and well seasoned. What a new way to eat a benedict.. hihi.

$19.50

The last and pretty one is the Celsius waffle with berries, maple syrup, toasted nuts and Peanut butter. At the first bite, I thought that there's nothing special with the waffle. Even though it was pretty chewy in the middle and crisp on the edge, it needs a bit more flav to me.. But then when I take that bit of peanut butter on it, I get it ;P Omg, who would've thought waffle and peanut butter would work .. well definitely not me haha! lovin it, couldn't stop eating em afterwards even though I'm very full already .^^."

$19
Overall, it was a great experience and new found of this place! I would recommend this place to be a definitely must visit when you're around the city. The staffs were friendly and service is on point!

Cafe Morso, Pyrmont

Pokemon Go! Everyone is on it nowadays, including meee!! So my friends and I decided to talk a walk from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour to Catch'em all Right ;P
We made a stop at Cafe Morso since the sister has been blabbing about how good the foods are and Im curious too..

The place is situated far from the crowd and offers a harbour view dining. It was packed on Sunday morning and but we still managed to get a table.

Beware though, they changed the menu for lunch so I recommend to come in for breakfast to try out their Risotto~
Smoked Pork, Spinach, Gruyere Risotto, Poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. I am usualyl not a fan of Risotto but this one was OMG so gooodd! The rice was cooked perfectly not too mushy, the pork has that good balance of smokiness and the oozing egg yolk is just perfecttt mamamiaaaaaa ;P

PS: please dont share this one. You gotta eat em all by yourselffffff

$19
Another example of simple breakfast done right! Sauteed wild Mushroom with Truffled scrambled eggs, Crusty Sonoma Bread. Fluffly egg and fragrant mushrooms can made my dayy ever

$18
Foods are on point to what my sister has been braggin about, it just a let down a bit on the service. It was kinda hard to get the waitress attention and the place wasn't that busy as well when we were in the middle of dine in.

Left of Field, Rhodes

A newly open cafe in Rhodes area. The cafe itself is located quite hidden from the main road since there are alot of construction happening around the area. Well at least it was the condition when I visited the place couple months ago.

The foods here are pretty good and the place looks great! I suggest to seat outside for better lighting for the photos hehe! The owner came up to our table and introduced the concept of the foods and said that they will be changing some menus in the next couple of months to keep it exciting~!

My foodie troops and I were excited to taste their instafamous Earl Grey custard Pancake!
But first, we ordered the Coconut and Chia Bircher with Seasonal Fruits and berries. The good old classic breakfast dish. Healthy and Delicious at the same time. I probably would add more honey to it ;P

$15
Next is the long awaited Hotcakes with Earl Grey Custard, Berries, Caramelised Banana and Caramelised Popcorn. Great idea of adding the popcorn into it but apparently that time we didn't get enough of the Custard which we asked for more since the hotcakes are a bit dry if eaten just like that. U know what? they took customer feedback seriously and the next week my friend went there, they now serve the custard on a separate jug and they are being generous with it!

$20
Another dish that must be ordered if you visited the place is their Fried Duck egg, Asparagus, Garlic, Wild Mushrooms, Pecorino adn Truffle oil. It may look simple but the taste proves so much more!!

$18
Besides the Hotcakes that is Instafamous, another stand out dish from this cafe is the Pork Burger (Pig Cheek schnitzel, Kimchi slaw, Fried egg and mayo) with Crispy Pig Ear chips!

$22
Apart from those three dishes up there, we also ordered the Shoe String fries with Pecorino and truffle oil plus their comeback sauce which literally makes u want for more! and also the Pork Belly with sweet potato puree and snowpea which is gone the minute they arrived at the table ;P

They seriously served amazing food here, even though the price may be a tad pricey than the usual cafes, but if you are like me, travelling all the way to Rhodes, might as well right ;P
Can't wait for any new dishes to come ~~~

Kafeine, Balmain (Second Visit)

I can finally happily say, I am back in Sydney!! :) For a good 2 years now that I am back as a student T.T Well, first thing first... On my second day back in this lovely city, I took Ms.S who happened to be in Sydney for a while to Kafeine in Balmain. One of my favourite brunch spot in town. Along with my hubby, we went on a Thursday lunch.

As usual, the place was packed with patrons but we didn't wait for too long before we were seated. Ms.P and Hubby go for their latte and me, as usual loves their Chai Latte.
I flipped through their menu and couldn't find the famous "Tasting Plate" which I saw up on IG! I asked one of the waiter and he said it is one of their special which is only available during weekends. Buttt..... he kindly asked the chef and the chef was willing to make me one ;P

Tasting plate - Egg bene, Corn Fritter, Sticky rice porridge -
I can't remember how much the tasting plate cost but whats in it is definitely worth how ever much they charged ;P The plate itself consist of their best selling dishes serve in mini sizes. But it's not that mini I must say. It was really really filling!

I've tried the corn fritter before and it's still very very yummy! What's new for me is the egg benedict, the best I tasted ever! They used HasH Brown at the bottom instead of boring muffin/sourdough. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise were scrumptious!! Salmon is sooo generous in portion. The sticky rice porridge is spiced and accompanied with prunes and dates, drizzled with vanillic milk, to die for!!!! :) Keep an eye on this one during weekend peeps.

Ms.S tried their new dish on the menu - Pulled Pork Burger . The meat was tender, juicy and smothered in smokey bbq sauce. It is served mexican style with guacamole salsa and kidney beans :)

Pulled pork Burger $15.90

Hubby tried their Eggs Benedict. Usually I don't allow him to order eggs bene as it tasted somewhat similar from place to place. But here is an exception! I did recommend him to try it out cause I know he's gonna love it! Smoked salmon, Bacon, Hash brown, Poached egg and creamy hollandaise. How can he say no ;P

Eggs benedict $17.90
Each dish for us actually is really filling, but for Ms.S and me, being a foodie, needed something more to share in the middle. So we decided to try their Mushroom Indulgent in golden brown crumbed, served with fennel, rocket, poached eggs on Sourdough and creamy blue cheese sauce as the side. What can I say, mushroom is my weakness. I just loveeee mushrooms and deep fried is the best way to enjoy them especially with that awesome sauceee! Another highly recommended dish from Kafeine.

Mushroom Indulgent $17.90
Aside from the coffee, we also got to try their new drinks. Organic White Tea Kombucha by Black Radish company and it tasted like sparkling tea which has floral, fruity and sweet note at the same time. It also contains live probiotic cultures!

We walked out with smiles and full tummy. Kafeine impressed me with their foods once again. I will definitely be back and this time on the weekend to try out their specials!

My first post on Kafeine can be found here :)

Grandma's Little Bakery, Alexandria

I always passed this place every time I drove by O'riordan st but never got the chance to try the place out. So my mission of 3weeks in Sydney is to visit all the places that I don't get to  try last year..

The place was packed with people on Saturday when Mr.P and I went but as usual we did manage to get ourselves a table :)

They provide outdoor and indoor dining area and they also have all sorts of stuffs to buy from cookies, jams, oil, condiments, takeaway foods etc.

Mr.P and I decided to order the Freshly squeezed Lemonade. It took me by surprised that the "Freshly" description does lift up to its name! I was expecting at least a bit of sweetness from the lemonade. But its totally sour and refreshing ;p

Freshly squeeze lemonade $5.50
Apart from our own dish, we decided to try out the Chicken Quinoa Salad with spinach and quinoa and the grilled chicken. I don't particularly a fan of the dish just because I don't really like spinach.. But the grilled chicken was tasty and the homemade tahini sauce was perfect for the dish!

Chicken Quinoa Salad $12.50
Mr.P ordered the Beef Bolognese Shakshuka - Gooey eggs in the middle of the rich minced beef in Moroccan sauce is the best remedy for a warm breakfast, served with Grandma's bread which looks like a pita pocket

Beef Bolognese Shakshuka $15.50
Apart from eggs and chorizo for brunch, my weak on the knee thing is Mushrooms! So The tempting description of the Beef & Mushroom Vol-au-vents bought me straight away. The portion was really generous! The pastry to me can be more fluffy, but the mushrooms and the beef were scrumptious, especially with the drizzled of the Tahini sauce.

Beef and Mushroom Vol-au-vent $11.50
I definitely recommend this place to chill on a Sunday morning or a quick brunch. Food prices are reasonable, service is great and taste wise, you gotta try it yourself :)

Happy trying~
