Social Brew Cafe, Pyrmont

Visited Social Brew with Mr.P on a Sunday morning.. The place was packed with people and we had to queue, thankfully not for too long cause the dining area are pretty spacious.

As everyone ordered, we also are very keen to try the smoked salmon & Avocado with micro mesclun lettuce, buttermilk dressing and zaatar on grilled flat bread. Chewy bread is the winning point for me :) Its sooo delish!!

$18.5 with poached egg
We also tried the Ricotta hotcakes, maple marinated strawberries and pistachio crumble. Well, what can I say.. Simplicity is bliss!

I saw this Hibiscus beetroot pink drink up on Insta and coincidentally it is located just a walking distance from Social brew. So made a short stop and try it out.. Interesting flavours combo and the drink itself is not too sweet but have a nice creamy feel to it :)

Hills Bros, Sydney CBD

A very small cafe located in on of the building in Martin place and it can be quite busy during lunch time. No surprise, since they serve some delicious dishes!

The portion I must say is not for sharing and hence the price. But that small bowl of miso braised pork is to die for!

The brown rice congee is perfect for a cold weather and the sweet sauce covering the congee is such a great match for the crispy shallot and that soy egg :)

The waffle is not too impressive tho,, not sure what's with the hot chocolate in the pot.. But it does made the waffle soggy and didnt add any value to it.. The waffle itself got the crispiness on the edge and fluff in the middle :)

Would definitely be back!

Fish Market Cafe, Pyrmont

My go to eating spot every time I visited the fish market is fish market cafe! Always the busiest and now they sell the sushi donuts which is currently a thing in the US! :)

I always got the Grilled platter cause me and the hubby lovessss the combo in it! I think that the price suit the portion that we get :)
$42.50
Craving for some lobster on the previous visit and so we tried the Lobster platter :) Still prefer the grilled platter though :)

$68.50
They have an array of sushi donuts to choose from but they are quite expensive! If you ever wonder if there's anything else below the colourful toppings, the answer is yes! It has some more meats and seaweed inside.. Even though some of my friends give me some negative review about the taste, but for me, it's alright and worth a try.. although I wouldn't buy them again hehe

Cuppa flower, Waterloo

I currently live in Mascot and below the apartment there is this cute lil' cafe selling coffee and flowers. I always wonder what kind of foods they serve and unfortunately they just some pastries and smoothie bowl.

I've seen some post about another cafe with the same name but different location. I looked into it and apparently they are owned by the same owner but this one in Waterloo has all sort of dishes offered in the menu.

So I went to give it a go after seeing so many pretty pictures from the place and especially those cute Totoro black sesame and green tea sponges.

We got the Cuppa Flower Special Rice Noodle and we got the choice of pork or beef. I chose beef. For $16.50 you got a decent portion for 1. Asian inspired taste, al dente noodle and flavoursome broth! I highly recommend everyone to try them!

For the dessert, I really want to try their Taro mille crepe, but that time they only have the Earl Grey Crepes which in my opinion tasted more black sesame than Earl Grey. Also for the Matcha Swiss roll which I love, fluffy and a profound matcha note and Black sesame sponge which has a good texture but unfortunately the black sesame note has gone baked away -.-"

Apparently my foodie friend agreed with me and he also said that the sponges tasted like nothing but the swiss roll, with the help of the cream helps with the flavs :)

I would recommend this place a visit. I would like to come back and try their savory dish cause their linguine Al Funghi seems divine!!

Q on Harris, Ultimo

The Dessert that has shaken Instagram lately is this tremendously indulgent Green Tea Cheesecake from Q on Harris in Ultimo.

It is not too overly sweet and the green tea flavour is very profound! I usually can't finish a dessert by myself but I can literally eat the whole thing alone.

I highly recommend it if you visited the place.

Q on Harris is a very cozy little space in Ultimo offering fresh and vibrant breakfast and lunch menu. The owner is actually my childhood's friend brother and he is a very friendly and awesome dude :)

$10

The Smoked Salmon Tartine is another must try dish! Dill cream, greens, fennel, pine nuts, green apple, spanish onion, cucumber.
$17

My favourite here is the Mushroom Tartine! Mixed mushrooms cooked with fragrant herbs and creamy butter, confit garlic, spinach, sage crisp, parmesan cheese and topped on SD with poached egg. What a perfect dish for brunch and allow enough space in your stomach pouch for that green tea dessert :)

Those three dishes are just perfect that it won me on my first visit! I had came back twice for the Green tea cheesecake and will keeps on coming for it :) I heard the Kabuki Waffle is pretty damn good too.
